Creating meaningful community connections between sports and people with disability
Australia is a sporting nation. But for many people with disability, sport still feels out of reach. When this happens, both individuals and the local community miss out on skills, talent, and most of all, on belonging and connection.
Through the Welcoming Inclusive Network (WIN) Project, we work to bridge this gap. With a clear, step-by-step framework, we’ll help you transform your club into a truly inclusive space where everyone – and every body – feels welcome, seen, and valued.
The WIN Badge – your path to inclusion
- Initial meeting: We will meet with you to gain a deeper understanding of your club, its goals, challenges, and strengths.
- Disability inclusion evaluation: Using our disability inclusion framework, we’ll assess how your club is currently going. This evaluation will give you some clear next steps to improve upon.
- Self-paced learning and development: Access resources and expert guidance to support your club in making meaningful steps toward disability inclusion at a pace that suits your team, club, and volunteers.
- Final assessment: We will meet with you for a final review. Based on your progress, you’ll be awarded the bronze, silver, or gold WIN Badge – the first of its kind disability inclusion accreditation for sports clubs.
A sports club where everyone belongs
The WIN Badge is more than a logo – it’s a mark of leadership, inclusion, and community impact. We’re here to help you become recognised as a welcoming, inclusive club where everyone can belong and participate.
