Pillars of inclusion

Disability inclusion is closer than you think

Grounded in real club environments and shaped by input from people with disability (PWD) and community needs, we take a comprehensive approach to driving disability inclusion in your sports club.

Creating an inclusive, welcoming sports club for people with disability doesn’t have to be overwhelming. It starts with a first step — and we’ll support you at every stage of your journey.

Disability inclusion framework: 5 pillars of inclusion

In our work together, we’ll explore and assess 5 key areas of disability inclusion. These are:

  • Accessibility – Is your club physically and digitally accessible to everyone?
  • Community – How connected is your club with people with disability and the wider community?
  • People – Are your coaches, volunteers, and members confident and inclusive in their actions?
  • Governance – Do your policies, procedures, and leadership support inclusion?
  • Participation – Are people with disability given the choice and control to participate in the club in the way that they want? Are they supported to do so in a way that works for them?

We’ll use this framework to make a comprehensive evaluation of your club’s level of inclusion. This will serve as a benchmark where we, together, will create a roadmap for your inclusion journey.
